Required Ingredients
For the Sauce
- Sliced yellow, green, or red bell pepper each
- A sliced onion
- 1 tbsp of ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tbsp of soy sauce
- 1 tbsp of vinegar
- 1 tsp of chili sauce and sugar each
- A cup of chicken stock
- 1 tbsp of cornflour
- 1 tbsp of oil
For the Chicken
- 500g of boneless chicken breast
- 1 tbsp of soy sauce and cornflour each
- 1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tbsp of oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Preparation for the Chicken
- Thinly slice the chicken into strips.
- Now a take a bowl. Combine the stripped chicken with salt, cornflour, ginger-garlic paste, and soy sauce. Let it marinate for half an hour.
- Heat a wok on high heat and pour 2 tbsp of oil into it.
- After the scheduled marinate time, pour the marinated chicken and stir-fry till they turn slightly golden.
- Remove the cooked chicken and set it aside.
Preparation of the Pepper Sauce
- In the same pan, pour a tbsp of oil. Add the sliced bell peppers and onions, sauté until they turn soft.
- Add the erstwhile ginger-garlic paste and sauté along.
- Stir the mix with some black pepper powder. Now pour soy sauce, chili sauce, vinegar, salt to taste and sugar. Mix properly.
Combine
- Now add the shredded chicken back in the pan and coat in the sauce properly.
- Add the chicken stock to the mix and make them come to a boil.
- Lower the flame during this time. Meanwhile, add the cornflour slurry and stir continuously till it thickens and attain your desired consistency.
