Let’s Trace it Back…

Manchurian, as a dish is very dynamic in nature and can be recreated with chicken, prawns, fish, cauliflower, and paneer. ‘Manchurian’ originated from the word ‘Manchuria’, a place in northeast China, however, it is an Indian creation. Gobi (cauliflower) Manchurian was first said to be invented by a Mumbai-based chef in the 1970s. The inclusion of rich Indian ingredients like chili, ginger, and garlic, made this dish a versatile one.
