Ingredients Required
- For the Manchurian balls
- A cup of finely chopped carrots and cabbage
- ½ cup of superbly chopped red and yellow bell peppers
- ½ cup of each finely chopped green capsicum, beans, and spring onions
- 2 tbsp of corn flour
- 2 tbsp of all-purpose flour
- Salt to taste
- Ginger-garlic paste
- Oil
- For the preparing sauce
- 2 tbsp of oil
- 1 tbsp of each finely chopped ginger and garlic
- Finely chopped 2-3 chilis
- ½ a cup of finely chopped capsicum and onions
- 1 tbsp of vinegar and red chili sauce
- 2 tbsp of soy sauce and tomato sauce
- A cup of water
- Mixture of 1 tbsp of corn flour and 2tbsp of water
- Spring onion to garnish
- Salt
Method
- Preparing the Manchurian balls
- Combine the finely chopped veggies and add both the flour.
- Mix them until a dough-like consistency is formed.
- Now shape them into balls and deep fry them in oil (must be medium-heated).
- Fry the balls until they appear crispy and golden brown.
- Keep them on a paper towel so that the excess oil is soaked.
- Preparing the sauce
- On medium heat, heat a pan and pour some oil.
- Add in the chopped ginger, chilis, and garlic. Let them sauté until fragrant.
- Now, add the other chopped veggies and cook them until they turn translucent.
- In the pan, add the sauces, and vinegar and mix them well. Add water too and bring to a boil.
- Pour the water-corn flour mixture into the pan and stir until the preparation thickens.
- Season your prepared sauce with some salt as per your taste.
- Combine them
- Now add the balls to the sauce and coat them well.
- Garnish with some spring onions.
