Required Ingredients
- For marinating the baby corns, you will require the following items-
- Bite-sized baby corns (250 g)
- ½ a tsp of salt, white pepper and cornstarch each
- ¼ cup of all-purpose flour
- Water for adjusting consistency of the batter
- Oil for frying those soft crispies
- For the glazy glaze
- 1 tbsp of soy sauce
- 2 tbsp of honey
- 2 minced garlic
- ½ tsp of minced ginger
- ½ a tsp of red chili flakes for adjusting the flavour of the taste
- 1 tsp of chili sauce
- For garnishing, sesame seeds and spring onions are required.
Method
- To marinate the corns, mix the corn flour, white pepper, and salt in a bowl in water. Make sure the its thick yet flowy consistency.
- Dip the baby corn into the batter and make them fully coated. Deep fry them in a pan over medium heat. Notice how they turn golden brown in colour! Keep them side and make sure the excess oil is removed with the help of some paper towel.
- To prepare the honey chili glaze, in the pan, add some oil. Add the ginger and garlic and sauté till their combine aroma reaches your soul. Now add soy sauce, chili sauces, chili flakes, and honey, and keep stirring until the sauce thickens.
- Toss in the fried corns and coat in the sweetness of honey and spiciness of the chili flakes. At the end, top them off with freshly-cut spring onions.
