Required Ingredients
- 4 to 5 potatoes thinly cut into strips
- 1 tbsp of all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp of cornstarch
- Oil, salt and pepper
For preparing the sauce, you must be ready with the following ingredients
- 1 tbsp of each minced garlic, sesame oil, and finely chopped ginger
- A medium sliced onion and capsicum
- 2 to 3 tbsp of soy sauce
- 1 to 2 tbsp of chili sauce
- 1 tbsp of tomato sauce
- 1 tsp of each sugar and vinegar
- Chopped spring onions for garnishing
Method
- Evenly coat the potato strips with corn starch, salt and pepper, and flour.
- In a pan, fry the coated potato strips in oil. Remove and drain them.
- To prepare the sauce, in a large wok, heat some oil. Add the ginger and garlic, sauté until fragrant spreads. Follow them with bell pepper and onion, fry them till softened.
- In the wok, pour the chili sauce, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, and tomato ketchup. Mix them properly and let the preparation simmer for a while till it thickens.
- Now combine the fried potatoes in the sauce and garnish with some spring onions.
